Raiders invite coaches and managers to stand up for 2017

Urunga (Raiders) Football Club invite expressions of interest from suitably qualified persons to take up coaching and managing positions for senior squads in 2017.

Raiders have had the benefit of exceptional coaches in recent years. Club policy is to test the field of coaches each year and to reaffirm the Committee expectations in regard to the role of coaches and managers, a code of conduct and working with children requirements.

 Interested persons must respond by 29 December 2016.  All relevant details are contained in the EOI package.

Community Coaching Course


Northern NSW Football is celebrating the Hyundai A-League and Westfield W-League double header between Newcastle Jets and Melbourne City at C.ex International Stadium in Coffs Harbour on January 27, with an exclusive double offer for registered coaches.

Coaches have the opportunity to attend both matches at C.ex International Stadium, with two nights accommodation and all meals included, along with a two day Game Training Certificate or Goalkeeping Certificate Accredited Coaching Course, and attend an exclusive Coaching Workshop with Newcastle Jets W-League Head Coach Craig Deans.

The Game Training Certificate course looks at the tactical components of football and how to create training exercises to teach game moments. This course is suitable for coaches of players aged 13 – 17+ years who are ready for a more tactical approach to training.

Craig will be delivering a Game Training Workshop on designing a training session based on tactical analysis of the Westfield W-League match against Melbourne City.

There are a number of options for coaches who are travelling to Coffs Harbour and also for coaches who based in the North Coast region.

Reminder Notice – AGM for Urunga Football Club

The Anual General Meeting for Urunga Football Club will be conducted next Monday 12 December 2016 at the Ocean View Hotel comencing at 7pm.

The AGM will be followed by a General Meeting of the Senior and Junior sub Committees.

This is an opportunity to show suport for the efforts of committee past and present and a big attendance would be much appreciated.

There is opportunity for Involvement and participation in many different ways and the Committee needs your help and support.

Registrations are now open.  On-line Registrations at www.urungafootballclub.com. Follow the prompts to complete registration.

Club Registrar Vanessa Hogan, Ph 0412649649 will assist with any issues relating to registration or come to the Junior Fields on 13th Feb from 9-12 noon for assistance. New players required to show a birth certificate please.

 

Something for all ages…

5-7 years Mini-Roos, 4-a-side, everyone has fun learning the skills of the world game

8-9 years modified rules with 7-a-side, non-competitive girls or unisex teams, playing other local area teams

10-11 years play 9-a-side, non-competitive games against other local teams, girls or unisex

12-17 years play full-sided, 11-a-side competition, male and female teams

Seniors play in Reserve or First Grade men’s and women’s competition

 

Free shorts and socks to all new junior players.

Register and pay by the end of February and receive discounted fees and go into the prize draw.

Extraordinary General Meeting next Tuesday

Next Tuesday, 8 December commencing 7 pm at Ocean View Hotel there will be extraordinary general meeting for Urunga Football Club with a purpose to reaffirm and, as necessary, reshuffle UFC Executive positions given the tragic loss of our President.

We encourage all interested persons to attend and show support for the club.

Venue: OVH on the upstairs verandah commencing 7pm

Guard of Honour

Urunga Football Club deems it appropriate to honour Dixie and Rachel by forming a guard of honour along the roadside as the funeral procession leaves the venue after the service.

We therefore ask those persons wishing to participate in forming a line along the roadside to please do so as quickly as practical after the service. The funeral procession shall be leaving the venue immediately after the service.

UFC playing strips shall be available before the service for those persons wishing to wear them.  Phil Fogarty or Cathy Jarrett shall arrive early at the venue with them.

In addition, please note the change in venue to Macksville School Stadium
