COFFS UNITED BEAT URUNGA RAIDERS TO PLAY STORM

As reported by NBN news, the North Coast Football minor premiership will come down to the wire, after Coffs United beat the Urunga Raiders two goals to one.  A clumsy challenge on United Midfielder Scott Goddard saw Nathan Silvy step up to smash one passed Blayze Ireland. United claimed another when a Ben McKay cross found Nick Lambert to boot in a second for the Lions. Coffs Coach Mike Smith said “For the boys to even get in this position is amazing so if we can go one more then fine – we’ll look at the finals after that.”

Next Sunday’s match between Coffs and Northern Storm at Korora will now decide which club claims the 2013 minor premiership.
