Team Manager Responsibilities
BEFORE THE MATCH DAY:
- Ensure your team knows where they are playing and what time they have to be there.
- Ensure that jerseys and equipment are taken to the game.
ON THE MATCH DAY:
If you are the 1st game on one of our Urunga fields, get to the fields 45-60 minutes before the game to do the following:
- set up the goal nets & corner posts;
- place garbage bag liners in the bins (from canteen); and
- help set up the sign-on tables etc.
Ensure that each player and game detail is correctly entered onto the Match Card.
Collect fees from each player ($3 competitive or $2 non-competitive [6 - 10 yrs]). Put the fees into a plastic bag, along with completed monies sheet. Hand the monies into Urunga Canteen at next home ground match.
When playing at Urunga junior home grounds, your team will be rostered on Canteen Duty. Please ensure that this important volunteer duty is covered by parents in the team.
AFTER THE MATCH:
- Check the match card is completed accurately at the canteen, showing scores etc.
- If required at home ground, take down goal nets and corner posts, collect the rubbish and leave tied bags next to Canteen.
If you wish to, e-mail a short match report and photos to support@urungafootball.com by Sunday for inclusion in local newspaper and/or web site.
HAVE A GREAT GAME
Where are the nets kept?
The junior nets are kept in a shed behind the canteen. The keys to the shed are retained by the canteen.
What happens if it rains?
The Wet Weather Coordinator will decide if our ovals are available. Coaches and Managers will be sent an e-mail/ phoned as soon as a decision is made.
Who washes the jerseys?
Jerseys are washed and maintained by the team. Suggest that the job be rotated.
What happens if both competing teams are in the same colours?
Bands are available at the Canteen to be worn.
How do I pump up the balls?
An electric pump is located in the Canteen, plus a hand pump is included in your kit.
What’s the procedure for using the lights?
Please contact Michael Trist if you need to use the lights on junior fields and Tom Campbell for seniors.
Can the game start late?
Yes, but it must finish at the scheduled time so as to not disadvantage any following matches.
