Games Structure

For 2009, Urunga FC has nominated 13 competitive teams based on the registrations received.  This year no one is allowed to play down an age.

Small Sided Football (Players aged 5 - 8 years) - HUB arrangements with neighbouring club - Nambucca Heads

Combined Junior 10 Years (small field) - we are combining our 9 & 10 year olds into mixed teams playing in the U10 Non competitive games.

GIRLS JUNIOR FOOTBALL - 12 YEARS (half field), 14 YEARS & 16 YEARS

BOYS JUNIOR FOOTBALL -  11 Years (half field), 12 YEARS, 14 YEARS, & 16 YEARS

Men’s - 1st division, Youth Grade, & Over 35’s

Women’s - 1st division, 2nd division, & 3rd division


For 2009, NCF teams play in either Non-competitive, or Competitive leagues.

Summary Letter to Parents about SSF

Years 6, 7 & 8 - will form part of a “HUB”, consisting of Urunga & Nambucca clubs, taking it in turns to host small sided games (SSF).  There is no goal keeper. 30m x 20m field.  Home Ground: U6

Year 6 will have 4 per team, 15 mins halves
Year 7 will have 5 per team, 15 mins halves
Year 8 will have 5 per team, 20 min halves

Years 9 & 10 (combined) will play in a Zone, consisting of neighbouring clubs.

Years 9, 10 (combined) will have 9 per team in a modified small sided game (SSF) with 3 reserves.  60m x 40m (half field). Home Ground: U6 & U7

Competitive

Year 12 Girls will be on a 60m x 40m (half field). Home Ground: U7

Years 11-16 Boys will be on full size field. Coaches to be assisted by seniors where ever possible.  Home Grounds:  U4 & U5
Years 14 & 16 Girls will be on a full size field. U16 Girls Coach to be assisted by seniors.  Home Grounds: U4 & U5
Years 17 - Years 18 will be managed by seniors.  Home Ground:  U1

Over 35s games to be held at Coffs International Stadium

Goal Keeping Training - provided by Dave Curley (Tel: 6655 2874)

Juniors

Junior session – unlimited numbers
(Coaches should attend as well)

• Correct Goalkeeper Technique demonstrations and drills
• Tips for coaches on how to effectively incorporate their keepers into team sessions
• Tips for coaches on coaching their outfield players how to work with the keeper during a game
• Ongoing themed weekly goalkeeping program for coaches to deliver in between monthly sessions
• Tips for coaches to recognise and reinforce correct technique during all drills and games

Seniors

Senior session 6.00-7.30

• High intensity technique, speed and goalkeeper fitness sessions for senior male and female keepers.
• Set of drills, in writing, for keepers to work on together in between my monthly sessions to ensure ongoing fitness and sharpness.
• Consultation with team coach re specific needs of keepers as identified by team coach. Sessions designed accordingly.
