Our aim is to keep the season fees affordable to all.  We do this by profits from our canteen, grant applications and sponsorship of the teams.  The club committee, coaches, managers and junior canteen personnel volunteer their time.

What are the Referee Fees?

The following table shows some of the Referee fees charged for 2010 per game.  Referee fees (apart from O35s) have been included in the registration fees.  Referees are paid directly by the Referee Standing Committee and the club is sent regular invoices for games held at the home grounds.

How does Urunga Football fit into the big picture?

Urunga Football is one of about 23 clubs that make up the North Coast Football Zone.  There are 7 zones within the Northern NSW Soccer structure plus a series of Standing Committees which set the guidelines on Referees, State League, First Division & Futsal for the region.  They currently have 10 full time staff, located in Newcastle.  In turn, as a member of  Football Federation Australia (FFA), they are guided by standards generated by FIFA, the world governing body.  There are currently 79 full time employees in FFA and only the Socceroos currently return a profit.  FFA is therefore funded by government, sponsorship and members. Your registration fees support these organisations.

My child has talent - what opportunities are there?

Development Programs

It’s Raining - Is Football on?

For competition games the NCF website is updated regularly with news on ground closures.  The Urunga grounds are closed on advice from our Senior & Junior Groundsperson and will be advised to all relevant coaches and, if possible, on this web site.  Generally, if it is not raining hard, the Urunga grounds will be open as they have a sand base and quickly absorb any excess water.
